Our History

Flow was born out of a period in Scott Nightingale’s life where he decided to take his passion for coffee, and open his own cafe.

He quickly realised that delivering a consistently high quality coffee in a busy cafe was not as easy as it had been at home.

Scott felt the pain of not having a clear understanding on the quality of each coffee that was being served to his customers, especially when he was not on site.

For his own benefit, Scott decided to take his technical background and create a product that would give him feedback on every espresso made, to ensure that he was serving the best possible coffee.

That product was the genesis of Flow, and the beginning of a journey to make great coffee available to everybody.
